Description
This Roprex Syrup- Cough Syrup is a combination medication used for the symptomatic relief of cough, cold, nasal congestion, and allergies. It helps in controlling cough, reducing nasal congestion, and relieving allergy symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, and itchy eyes.
Composition & Mechanism of Action
- Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (Cough Suppressant): Acts on the cough center in the brain to reduce the urge to cough. It is effective for dry cough.
- Phenylephrine Hydrochloride (Decongestant): Constricts blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing nasal swelling and congestion, making breathing easier.
- Chlorpheniramine Maleate (Antihistamine): Blocks histamine receptors to relieve allergic symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, and watery eyes.

Dosage & Administration
- Adults & children above 12 years: 5-10 ml every 6-8 hours, as directed by a physician
- Children (6-12 years): 2.5-5 ml every 6-8 hours
- Should be taken with or without food, preferably with water

- Nausea, vomiting, upset stomach

Drug Interactions
